House description
A Fairytale location, and absolutely fantastic for young families. The accomodation is over 3 floors - the basement has a bunk and bathroom, the houses's heart, the kitchen is on the middle floor, and the alpine-hut style dormitory is on the first floor. The Troadkasten is converted Hay house, around 300 years old, and has a traditional feel. Families looking for luxury can look elsewhere - for everyone else, this house is one of those that you will be talking about for years after you have stayed there.
On a plateau above Donnersbachwald (pioneers of the Barefoot mountain path), and 3km from the Riesneralm lifts (brilliant for families!), the silence is almost complete. You can use the pingpong, sauna and internet facilities of the nearby converted farmhouse. Fabulous!
The skiarea Dachtstein Tauernregion is 50 km from the holiday home.
