The region offers a varying landscape with mountains, forests and various historic cities. There is something to experience here at any time of year. The well marked hiking paths are particularly recommended. Even in winter, the nearby Klingenthal (15 km) offers ideal conditions for winter sports activities with many runs, a ski jump and kilometers of groomed tracks.
