The residence is in the Les Chambons district, approximately 1.5 km from Quartier La Chal and the ski lifts and most of the shops. You will also find a few shops selling basic essentials and restaurants in Quartier Les Chambons (about 300 metres away). There is a free town shuttle bus between the two districts (from 08.45 to about 17.00 - 18.00) about 50 metres from the park, only in winter.
Saint Jean d'Arves (from 1550m to 2620m above sea level) combines the charm of a traditional, family hamlet village with access to the leading Maurienne skiing area (Domaine des Sybelles) with 310 km of connecting ski runs. The resort enjoys a remarkable amount of sunshine. In summer, its footpaths enable visitors to explore the valley with its view of the elegant Arves peaks rising to 3514 metres. Lovers of fine food will enjoy the local speciality: the all Beaufort fondue is a real treat! There is no sense of oppression here, just wide open spaces!
