A historic house with many carvings of the names and initials of the soldiers who must have stayed there during the many conflicts in the area.
We enjoyed our stay and found the house delightfull and the area very interesting. The pictures do not do it justice.

There is a lively food market on Thursday in Doullens.
The staircase is not closed, so take care with small crawling children.
There is one separate small bed for a small child.
The outside walls contain inscriptions from soldiers from both World Wars and even from wars in the 19th century. There are inscriptions from soldiers from the UK, USA and Germany. We consider these walls an important part of the historic heritage of the property. It is therefore not allowed to make new inscriptions, even though some people did last year. The costs incurred by having to erase new inscriptions will be charged to the tenants. |
