House description
On a 6 hectare estate by the Somme, a pretty little renovated residence (XVIII century) ideal for short romantic breaks. According to the story, this holiday home was once as small chapel. This apparently old house of prayer has been renovated and transformed into a romantic accommodation with a comfortable and pleasent interior. This small warm house is set in the middle of pastures. In the property, you can take advantage of a private pond (fishing possible), a pretty little summerhouse, an aviary, many savage animals (horse, geese, ducks, etc.), etc. You will always be in touch with nature! A bakery service is available through the owner, who will also leave you some basic items in the kitchen. The region abounds in opportunities for walks and bike rides. The sea is 15 km away. To visit: Abbeville collegial (3 km), St-Riquier abbey (9 km), Somme bay (18 km), Amiens (35 km), etc.

Please note that 3 Star accomodation is misleading - the home was excellent, all I wanted was simple, functional and clean - Les Aires Gouby was all of these and more... absolutely idyllic, absolutely perfect!
