The house is located in a peaceful quiet village located in the north of the Belgian Ardennes, 1 hour from Brussels and Maastricht, right near the small city of Durbuy and 30km from Rochefort and La Roche.
Bende is part of the city of Durbuy often cited as “the smallest city in the world”. The region is rural with lots of countryside, forest and sign-posted walking routes.
The house has a totally independent entrance and a small secure private garden where you can enjoy breakfast or a drink or have a barbecue.
Located in a country setting, a haven of peace and relaxation, you will be happy to return to your accommodation after a walking, sports or cultural trip.
The house is an excellent starting point for many activities:
In spring and summer, the nearby valleys of the Néblon and the Ourthe invite you to take a walk, a horse or bike ride, go kayaking, or take a trip out in the car or on the motorbike. You can also discover the rich heritage in castles, old houses and typical little villages of the Condroz and the Ardennes.
And in autumn and winter you can take walks in the forest, go mushroom picking, visit Christmas markets (each weekend in December in Durbuy), and enjoy fine Belgian beers and local flavours.
