'La ferme des choucas' is a charming and sociable farm in the traditional style of this lovely region with its lovely landscapes. Through its unique and protected location in an old and very quiet village, one will quickly feel at home! 'La ferme des choucas' is located on the flank of a small hill with a church on the other side of the road which is lit up at night. After an evening of walking in the village or after a cycling excursion through the lovely hills and forests around the village, you can relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the front or back garden.
This farm has a large walled front garden which right under the church tower, so to speak. You always know what time it is, even though the hours will pass quickly as you watch the sun set over the valley at the end of the village street.
The large back garden (20 metres wide and 80 metres long) is south facing. You can relax on the terrace or undertake all kinds of activities in the long grassy areas which are bisected by a 2 metre walking path.

Tips from the owner
Located in Corre, at less than 3 miles from the house, there is a Intermarché for all your grocery shopping (with a fresh butcher's shop). It's also opened on Sunday morning. The baker comes every day with a delivery van at around 8:10 am , except Wednesdays. Provided that you pay upfront, you can ask to deliver your bread in a bag he hangs up at the door of the barn , so you don't have to get up early. You will also find a post office and a pharmacy in Corre.
In Jussey, at 4 miles from the house you will find many supermarkets : Aldi and Lidl (also open during lunch time), Carrefour, Intermarché, ... In the center there are many shops, banks, pharmacies, doctors, post office, internet café, a hairdresser, ...
For freshly prepared farm ice , you just need to walk around the corner.
In the garden there is a petanque court. (2x6 balls found in house)
Leave for beautiful walks along the fields and woods from the church opposite the house: you will find directions on an information board near the church.
In the barn are four mountain bikes that you can use at € 7 per week per bike. Great rides can be done departing from the house. Maps with walking and cycling routes are available in the house.
At 5 miles there is a picturesque "Plage" with a nice "grass beach " on the banks of the Saône (the camp past the Aldi). Wonderful place to sunbathe or to float with a rubber boat on the Saône.
Also from Ormoy, just 2 miles down the road, you can make great walks and spend time along the borders of the Saône.
At 3 miles from the house is "La Marina" , the last yacht port on the Sâone before the river becomes no longer navigable.
If you like to take a cure you can head for one of the spa towns such as Bourbonne-les-Bains or Luxeuil-les-Bains in a half hour drive. You can also visit Contrexéville or Vittel about 45 minutes away.
In Vesoul, Langres, Epinal and Gray at one hour drive, you will find beautiful historic city centers and shopping streets.
In winter time you can make a day trip to one of the ski resorts of the Vosges at approximately 55 miles (La Bresse, Gerardmer,Ventron). The resorts have all rental facilities (coats, pants, skis, snowboard,...)
