In a picturesque village, situated on a hill with beautiful views, a tasteful gite (90m2) consisting of: 1 livingroom, 1 well equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom (shower, sink, WC). On 1st floor 2 double bedrooms (2 x 1; 1 x 2 + 1 x 1 folding bed. Terrace decorated with flowers, fig-tree, breakfast corner, garden furniture. Atmospheric gite, renovated in southern style with beautiful views. Endless walks in aromatic dales.

We felt at home the moment we settled in courtesy of our host's excellent English and personal tour of "les Volets Bleus".
Montalieu is a fabulous location with stunning views in all directions .
The tasteful renovation of the cottage, by the owners, provided us with unique accommodation in a wonderful mountain setting.
There is lots to see and do, walks and cycling "on the doorstep", friendly and helpful locals - we shall certainly return.

At the edge of a small prvencial mountain village.The Altitude of 550m tempers the heat of the summer.Very sunny and quiet situation. Great view over the mountains from the terasse,shadowed by wild wine.Undisturbed natur in a couple of steps.Rich meditteranien Flora and Fauna (Eagles).
The village was mentionnned for the first time in the 12.century.Montaulieu means "Olive mountain"
The walls of the house belonged to the dojon of the ancient castle of the seigneurs of Montaulieu(12/13 century)
Parts of the old tower are still visible and incorporated in one room.A first modernisation has been undertaken in the forties.
We aquired the buiding in 1995 and have since then undertaken major restauration
We tried to preserve the ancient charme as much as compatible with modern comfort requirements.
Those who are looking for a holliday-home in contemporary appartement-style with
all straight walls,Nightlife and entertainement should stay away from this house.
But who is looking for a peace of old romantic Provence, nature and calm,will for shure spend a great vacation.
