This gite is in one of the most beautiful parts of the Loire Valley. It is in the Sauvegrain private grounds which cover two hectares. The grounds are on the banks of the River Vienne near Chinon in France's Central Region. The house is one hour from Paris by TGV train. A collection and return service from the local station is available. The journey from Paris takes two hours by car.
The gite is part of the owner's 15th century house. The wooden beam construction dates from the days when fish were traded here.
The grounds are 2.5 km from the medieval village of Chinon. The village has an impressive fort, set high on a mountain. You can enjoy all kinds of sports activities and cultural excursions in the surrounding area. These include walking, fishing and swimming. You can also visit historic castles, vineyards and fine gardens.
