On one of the most beautiful places in the Loire Valley, one hour by TGV Paris Montparnasse-Tours (pick-up and return is possible) or two hours drive from Paris, is a 5 acres private property with the name "Sauvegrain" on the bank of the Vienne river, in Chinon, Indre-et-Loire department, Centre region. The restored house is very private, about 150 meters from the 15th century home of the owners. It has a covered porch overlooking the orchard, a private driveway flanked by large lavenders and a large, above ground pool. It dates from the 15th century and was used as guest spot for farm workers. The site is located 2.5 km away from the bustling, medieval Chinon, with its stately fortress high on the mountain. In the vicinity are many sporting and cultural excursions possible: hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, swimming, tennis, golf, flee markets, castles, wineries, garden visits, etc. On the premises classic convertibles for rent and barbecues held regularly. A little further are islands in the river where one may take a sunbath and swim. The area is UNESCO heritage and natural park.
