Rustic cave house situated in the chasm of the Júcar River, in the Albacete region. Completely restored with its original character preserved, such as the feeding troughs and the niches in the stones. Traditional materials such as clay, wood and rock masses have been used extensively.
Spacious apartment with terraces (+20 m2). Previously this was the area where the cattle stayed and where the wine bodega ("Jaraiz") was located. The feed places, the pots and the decanting hollows have been preserved. The interior decoration is a mix of rustic and Moorish elements. There are three floors. On the first floor is the living/dining room with fireplace, a completely outfitted kitchen, a tea room in a niche with a tropical wooden floor (Jatoba) and the room where the wine used to be developed (Jaraíz). A bedroom with double bed, bathroom with jacuzzi and a landing are on the upper floor. There is a terrace (25 m2) above, with a splendid view of the river and a shower where you can cool off during the summer. All spaces have a good amount of stone or rocky wall. The interior decoration combines Arab elements with antiquities, design furniture and ethnic pieces. Gorgeous views.
Pleasant location only 36 km from Albacete and great for visiting Madrid, Valencia, Alicante or Murcia. Situated in peace and quiet in a fascinating and beautiful place at the foot of the town of Cubas on the Júcar River, where walking, fishing and relaxing are just a few of the possibilities available to you. Jorquera is 9 km away and Alcalá del Júcar 20 km away, towns which are worth a visit for their architecture, traditions and the wonderful cuisine of Castilla-La Mancha. It is of course ideal for nature lovers due to the rich wildlife and vegetation of the area. As the cavern house is in a narrow chasm, a microclimate is always present, with pleasant temperatures in the winter. Youll find fig cacti and pomegranate, laurel (bay), khaki, and orange trees, as well as other native tree species. The constant temperature (17-20C) which is prevalent in the cave house ensures that you will always be comfortable. In short, this is a one-of-a-kind house for that other, very special holiday!
