This holiday home is located on a former Canadian military airfield (300 metres above sea level). The 3000 metre landing strip makes it possible for you to arrive and fly around in your own plane. During the weekend, members of a flying club fly there in the afternoon, and there is an option for tours and ballooning.
For those interested in the First and/or Second World Wars, this gite is a perfect place. It used to serve as a communication building for the military service.
Citadel is only a short drive away. This fortified town owes its history to a large defensive wall and is surely worth a visit. There are also many forts, casemates and coverts to explore in the vicinity.
Some are currently open to the public. In the forts of Fermont and Hackenberg you can take a ride in the original munitions train!
In addition to the rich war history, the vicinity offers a great deal of quiet and the beautiful nature of the Meuse. Renaissance influences are clearly seen in the architecture of the villages in the area. Beautiful gables grace the authentic street scenes.
ATTENTION! Note that there will be noise from the passing sports aircraft. (notably in the weekend)
